Welcome To All Things Needlework

Welcome to Marin Golden Threads, a delightful chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America nestled in the scenic landscapes of Northern California.

For now, our meetings take place in the virtual realm via Zoom, where we gather on the 4th Saturday of each month. Our day begins at 9 am with our Board Meeting, followed by our General Meeting at 10 am.

In anticipation of future in-person gatherings, you can find us at the Marin Community Foundation in Hamilton Field, Novato. The address is 5 Hamilton Landing, Suite 200, Novato, CA 94949. Our meeting room is located on the second floor, and there are both an elevator and stairs for your convenience. Please note that the building is typically locked on weekends, but we have a special code that grants you access. The code works for both the outer and inner doors and must be entered twice. If this is your first visit to our Novato location, don't hesitate to contact one of us to receive the access code or arrange to meet one of our members outside in advance.

While we eagerly await the opportunity to meet in person again, we extend a warm invitation for you to join one of our Zoom meetings. It's a great way to discover more about the EGA and our wonderful chapter. We're excited to have you with us and look forward to seeing you soon.

The mission of the Embroiderer's Guild's is to stimulate appreciation for, and celebrate the heritage of embroidery by advancing the highest standards of excellence in its practice through education, exhibition, preservation, and research.

Our Extensive Needlework Library

Marin Golden Threads has an extensive library available for lending to Marin Golden Thread members.

Click here to browse the catalog to see what is available.

Our library has been the recipient of amazing collections of needlework books from the estates of Gisela Ritchie and Diane Clements as well as the San Francisco Chapter of EGA. We appreciate the wonderful legacy they have left for us to share. We owe a large thank you to Lori and Aric for organizing and maintaining our library. All members are encouraged to check out books from our Library.

To check out a book or have the librarian bring one to a meeting, please contact Lori.

Thank you for your support.
